Our Story
As a retired U.S. Coast Guard veteran, Captain Jason Swain founded Keweenaw Boat Tours as a means to continue a lifelong dream of working on the water. His experience includes various sized boats from 24ft to 180ft in length, assisting those in need on the coastal oceans and Great Lakes.
Captain Jason's passion for customer satisfaction drives him to ensure that each visitor's experience exceeds their expectations. He is a husband and father of two, and is passionate about family, the Great Lakes, boats, and sharing an experience that lasts a lifetime.
So whether you want a relaxing cruise to see the sunset, learn about historic lighthouses, or provide a lasting memory of a special occasion such as a birthday, bachelorette party, or just a fantastic boat ride, let Captain Jason provide you with an unforgettable boat tour of the Keweenaw Waterway.
From wildlife to lighthouses, there’s no better way to see the Keweenaw Waterway than from a private boat tour with Keweenaw Boat Tours. We provide multiple options to choose from including a cruise to a historic lighthouse, sandstone cliffs formed from mountains over a billion years ago, or perhaps experience an epic sunset over Lake Superior. If a remote adventure is what you're after, we also offer our "Keweenaw Adventure" tour from Lac La Belle to Keystone Bay at the tip of the Keweenaw Peninsula. We also offer a charter service that can be customized to your special occasion. Whether its a bachelorette party, birthday, or you would like to spend some time at the beach, contact Captain Jason and he will come up with the perfect experience.
So bring your own food and beverages, choose the tour that suits your schedule, then sit back, relax, and enjoy the Keweenaw Waterway!
